Pic of my backyard container garden (the backup if the garden plot didn't do well).

Lots of tomatoes! And some peppers finally.

@chgowiz I hated having to tend to my wife and daughter's garden (it always fell to me and got overwhelmed with weeds), but I think next summer, I'm going to do some tomato and pepper plants in holders on my patio instead of a garden plot.

@chgowiz My daughter devours cherry and grape tomatoes. I just need to get the plants high enough to keep the bunnies out and to make it easier on my poor back when I have to weed it.

@Tim_Eagon For me, keeping these in the buckets has helped them from bunnies and squirrels - so far. The dog helps with that too 😄

Weeds have been easy because they're tiny and I just pluck out the tiny weedlings when I'm watering.

@chgowiz My parents have something similar in planters on their deck.

How are the inground ones doing with all this rain?

                Love your setup for #tomatos

@66gardeners Much better than they were doing earlier. I had some issues with my tomato seedlings and I'm still not 100% sure what I did wrong - maybe not enough light at first, and maybe too small of pots to grow/harden in.

The container tomatoes went into the container about a week before the in-ground tomatoes. They didn't grow much in Jun but they've really shot up in Jul w/the rain!
