October's end-of-month peep into the greenhouse has a very end-of-season look about it. All the crops are finished and most of the tender plants for overwintering are tucked away in the deep troughs. Spring bulbs have been re-potted and put in the cold frame.
There are piles of dirty pots for cleaning (eventually) and tools to be stowed away. The inside of the glass needs washing down; how do you do that without some drips going down your neck?
