              @juergen_hubert It's reminding me of the folktales I've come to love here locally - in Alsace - featuring witches, evil counts, and strange creatures..
              Some stories overlap with legends in Germany, I'm sure 🙂

                I have translated only a few tales from Alsace, but I do plan to read more of the folk tale collections from the region.

                (The forewords of these collections - published in the 19th century - also offer some... interesting glimpses into French-German relations of this period.)
