    Now you might be wondering, “Chris, what’s your favourite display?”

    That’s easy: projectors.

    In the right conditions, a good projector doesn’t just compete—it obliterates. The sheer size gives you immersion no TV can touch, the image has that cinematic softness instead of the razor-sharp sterility of LCDs, and because you’re watching reflected light instead of a backlit panel, it feels way more natural.

    And yeah, projectors are picky. You need light control, a proper screen, the right throw distance. But when you’ve got that setup dialed in? CRTs look cramped, OLEDs look like over-engineered phone screens, and LCDs feel like a bad office monitor trying to cosplay as “cinema.”

    Once you go full wall-sized, everything else feels like a compromise.

      @atomicpoet

      I am actually planning on using a Projector in my van build. Easy to get a good sized visual with a lot better space usage when not active.

        C.W. Smith 🇺🇲 They’re super cheap! And even the low end ones can do 1080p output.
