If you, as a white person, are confronted with evidence of #WhiteSupremacy, do _not_ badger PoCs of your acquaintance that you are "one of the good ones".
This is asking them to do free emotional labor for you. Deal with your own anxieties about your own subconscious #racism on your own time, instead of pushing them on others.
If you truly want to be a white ally of PoCs, your job is to support _them_, not vice versa.

@juergen_hubert Having had that phrase "one of the good ones" weaponized against me for much of my life in Canada, if someone wants me to reassure them that they're one of the good ones, I'll gladly do it.
Just not in the way they likely intend.
Because I'll be just as condescendingly parental to them as people had been to me with that phrase until it hammers home: maybe they'd rather just think about themselves.
