I tried Final Fantasy VII—the original PC version—on my new monitor.
It’s still one of my favourite JRPGs. I know, that’s like saying The Beatles are your favourite rock band.
But it holds up. It still looks fantastic. The storytelling is top tier. And that world remains as rich and impressive as ever.

@katherinebloom So, it’s neat for what it is. Definitely has that over-the-top energy of 90s video game voice acting.
But having played this game for 28 years now… it’s also a little strange. All this time, I had a certain idea of what these characters sounded like and their delivery. And it was quite different from this.
