@stux I think it may be the same dynamic as my cousin and his girlfriend had. She kept using their kids as a way of winding him up, he'd end up violating the protective custody order, and be back in jail.

The cycle only ended when he drove drunk and hit a telephone pole. His second child doesn't even know he had a dad because he was not able to see them much after the order was in place

@trebach Oof.. it does seems that way from the info i got so far

There seems more though, last month they where not here at all and the police came by several times

When im going to the door, she has to unlock 4 locks or something

Defenitly running or at least avoiding cops and child services

Child service even asked one of our other neighbours to give them a call when they would show up appearnly

@stux oof. We have a unit below me that is empty because the last tenant brought her boyfriend in who began beating her, and after a large police response, were evicted. I hope she is ok. She was about to give birth! He was throwing her around and she would scream. He was a monster and I hope he is in prison. Many of the neighbors called police on him.

@stux It's definitely not the same as my cousin because this guy is definitely more aggressive than my cousin. My cousin was good-natured but stupid.

There seems to be some domestic violence and child abuse doing on with this couple if CPS (Child Protective Services) is involved and wanted you to be their eyes and ears

@stux good question. It sure seems more prevalent to me. I think the pandemic lockdowns made it worse. I also think the rise in popularity of men like the Tates contributes to it.

@trebach This one is a combination of stupid and aggressive and sometimes a LOT of alcohol so kinda a deadly mix

I've been so much more involved then i would wanted already, it was needed but truly sad

@stux if it threatened you then "stand your ground" and give it a couple of skull tunnels. you'll be doing it a kindness to end its suffering.

abused partner will have one less problem in her life. the problem that is most likely to kill her. there is another tremendous kindness.

not your problem of course, it is just perhaps an option. you are a person with agency. I hope you put all that shit in your rearview. you deserve a better community than that.

@Lomara Was also thinking of that

The "manosphere" or whatever that is just incredibly toxic...

Well.. one thing left to do.

Shame it out of them, big time

@falcennial Unfort it doesn't work like that here 😉

                    Or fortunate i guess!

Self-defence is okay but to a certain level, weapons are a no no, always

If i where to shoot him, even in self-defence i would go away for a looong time, and rightfully so

(little side note! as a kid i almost had a black belt in taekwondo 😀 not that theres much left but still)

Sorry for all frustration btw! ❤️ I wanna be a calm happy person but sometimes surroundings can make it a little harder

I'd rather type it out here instead of building the frustration and fueling this situation even more

@stux at the point the ownership bails on civilized society, the best course of action it to leave and not look back. A few years ago I realized that we either moved out or I was at risk of arrest because a “resident” didn’t care about anyone else, which made 2AM amplified karaoke singing totally OK.

@stux Wow. I'm sorry for you. But I'm horrified for the kids ! Here, in France, the child protection is a shame, but I thought it was better in the Netherlands.
