The thing about working with people is this: You can offer advice—but they don’t have to take it.

If things go wrong because they ignored that advice, you have to accept that they’re an adult, fully capable of making their own choices.

And because they’re an adult—and you did offer guidance—it’s absurd for them to blame you for the consequences of a decision they made.
