Today my gf is visiting people we know from festivalsI stayed at home because we have a strong feeling it's gonna clash
The last time we spoke on a festival her bf called while we where there and one of the first things he asked mt gf was:
"does your boyfriend BELIEVE in climate change?"
That question was enough for me to distance myself

@stux Is this a trend where right wing people are attracted to you because they think you share the same views and then are sorely mistaken?

Worst of all is.. she's a teacher-ish :nkoFacepalm2:
I made her mad at the festival the last time because she said that kids don't take her seriously on school because she has theories about the goverment and many other conspiracy shit and I plainly said:
"im glad they won't take you seriously"
and she flipped lol
Sorry but im done with investing time in such people and their bullshit

I wonder why she hangs out with those peeps. My first instinct would be to distance myself from such a clown.

@stux I'm sorry. Losing people or losing some closeness with important people is painful, even when the reason seems like the best reason possible. I'm sorry they put you in a position where your only choices are to compromise your morality or gain some distance. It sucks.

@guyjantic Thank
️ I think it's better and saves a lot of frustration
In the past i wanted to try and hear out everyone and their oppinion but ive learned that's not doable
Some people are just messed up and not worth the time, i'd rather invest that into people who do appricate that
Makes everything worth the trouble

@stux Ugh. I "believe" in climate change the way I "believe" that Australia exists. I've never been there, and all the proof I've been shown could be fake. And in the abstract, there are some things about it that (without proper context) might seem kind of insane. But yeah. I'm still very certain that it is real.
