I was always suspicions of "The Wild Huntsman is really Odin in disguise!" narrative.

@juergen_hubert good to know. I've written a supernatural story which involves to Wild Hunt, but in my version the leader often swaps when a rival wins enough support in the group to lead it.

@Emmacox My favorite version of the "Female Leader of the Wild Hunt" is Frau Gauden:

@juergen_hubert I think you have shared this before because I did borrow a variation of that phrase, "The hunt is better than Heaven, and as long as we are able to hunt for all eternity we never want to enter Heaven.”

In my tale, I have Gwyn app Nudd (although in physicality he is Gwyn, he is the embodiment of all psychopomps - and acts a bit like Discworld's Death). But I also have Diana, the hunter, leading the Hunt, but she is also an embodiment of all hunter deities.

@Emmacox Variants of this phrase are _very_ common in the origin stories of the Wild Huntsperson throughout Germany.
