      @fujiwara Nobody could remember any of the numbers anymore, especially since they’re different between iOS, macOS, watchOS, etc., so they made them like car years.

        @invalidname @fujiwara They are cargo cult obsessed about one big release a year, while quality keeps going down:(

          @yon@sakurajima.moe @invalidname@mastodon.social @fujiwara@sakurajima.moe time is a big dumb circle. Companies used to release year-versioned software (win95, etc). But then they stopped because it created an expectation for a certain release cadence that took control out of companies hands.

          …and now we’re going back?
