If not, I really recommend doing a deep dive:

Infect half the internet in hopes it would end up on computers in nuclear refineries in Iran so it would mess with the feq of the centrifuges to make them unusable (very short story)
The US will do anything to "achieve its goals", I am convinced of that

@stux I had wondered if Stuxnet was the origin of your username, thanks for the confirmation.
Stuxnet was an example of counter proliferation action requiring no kinetic warfare. It's what we should have stuck with because it clearly worked.

@stux I think the pointing in several directions within the same circle was an effective bit of cover, and only necessary to protect the private resources co-opted for the program.
Well, that and masking the location of the likely testbed facility.
