A lot of people have interacted, and everyone's been kind and friendly
And I noticed, any time I have a sneaky look at one of your profiles, it's all anti-fascist! Trans rights! BLM! Anti-capitalist! Feminist! etc.
Which is another reason I love it here
Is it the cat pictures that bring out the kind and progressive people? Is there a connection? Or am I just lucky?

@rufustheduck Nope, that pretty much sums up my experience here the past 3.5 years. There's been a few jerks and haters in the mix, but a swift block and it's back to the cool people.

It's very hard to monetise anything in the Fediverse, so all those who value money over people, find little of interest here.
They go away, saying it's complicated and difficult to use the Fediverse because it doesn't work for them.

A better descriptor would include, if not unwieldy doing so, the brain atrophying effects of using FB.
