OSRIC 3 Player’s Guide is out.

    Just a moment...

I don’t know if I’ll ever use it, but I’m glad it’s there.

I am mildly disappointed that OSRIC, derived primarily from the CC-BY 5.2 SRD, is not in itself CC-BY. The restricted license means you can’t really publish a hack based on it, and you are better off starting from the 5.2 SRD instead.

@deinol I thought OSRIC was derived from the 3e SRD

@Tim_Eagon OSRIC 1.0 through 2.2 are from the 3x SRD.

          OSRIC 3.0 references the 5.2 SRD CC-BY.

Ironically chapters 1-3 of 2.2 are declared open content, so if you want to hack I’d start there and you can add magic items, monsters, and spells from the 3.0 book.

          🤷🏼‍♂️
