Gods, I am an emotional wreck today. There's the state of the world, and then the city cut down a line of trees near my house. They were dwarf maples and really small, but made a dense canopy that I appreciated a lot in summer.
I hope they're not coming for the chestnut trees in front of my house next.
I think I will have to go to the gym just to get back to some semblance of balance.

@draco that really sucks! I love having tree cover nearby, and I can't imagine losing it like that.
