I wouldn't personally count them as part of Mastodon.

Would like to point out this is a fundamental weakness of a centralized US corporate platform. The company has no practical option but to 'welcome' VP Vance. In a truly decentralized network, individual instances have options on how to deal with such a situation. With Bluesky it's an all or nothing proposition.
