My work is currently rolling out Windows Hello for Business. I was enrolled a couple of weeks ago. When the day came for me to register, the computer kept not recognizing my face. After some frustration, I enrolled with the PIN option and went on.

But it kept bugging me, so them I started poking around the internet. It turns out that the anti IR coating on my glasses was blocking the camera from seeing my pupils so I wasn't registering as a human.

When I got these glasses, the facial recognition on my iPhone stopped working. But I dug around in the settings and found how to turn off the "track my eyeballs" option. I no longer had to stare lovingly at my work phone to make the recognition work.

We had a meeting with Microsoft today to discuss the roll out, so I told them about it. They had never heard of this! Either that anti IR coating exists or that it was an option to not use IR. Funny the things that pop up when you're paranoid.
