    Reminded that the exquisite 1987 Jim Henson series, The Storyteller, is streaming free for the moment, albeit on Youtube. Any folklore fans, storytelling nerds, admirers of Henson Creature Shop magic, parents tired of condescendingly vapid children's entertainment, etc. might take an interest. There's a tetraptych of Greek Myths for "season two" but the material is more familiar to the average westerner and the writer of the first series had passed away; I often think of it as the lesser of the two, but that's akin to preferring mead to eiswein: either is an utter delight.

      @juergen_hubert I was debating whether to tag you into this earlier, actually, as - if you've not seen them - about half the stories derive at least in part from your particular regional wheelhouse - you'll unlikely encounter new tales but it might be fun to see them realized if you like this sort of thing.

      Whether the licensing passes through to where you are is something I can't predict (though there are multiple instances of episodes posted by various channels.)
