You know how with good french toast the middle is like somewhere just north of a set custard? Imagine having a full inch of that in every bite 😮

I'm torn apart that this bread is a seasonal/special item, Aldi needs to stock this year-round for my needs 😮

@CactuarJoe I bet you could also make some fantastic grilled cheese with that bread.

Yeah, if you've got an Aldi near you, go buy a loaf of the croissant-style bread they've got.

Here's what you're gonna do; mix together one egg for every two slices of bread, plus a squeeze of honey and about a quarter cup of half-and-half (also per 2 slices). Or heavy cream if you're nasty like me.

You're gonna dip the bread in the mixture and then set it aside for a couple minutes. While that's happening, get a non-stick pan and get it up to medium-high heat. Drop a pat of butter in it, then fry the slices until they're golden brown on both sides. Make sure you add another pat of butter when you turn the slices over in the pan.

When they're just crispy on the outside, you're gonna put them in a 375f oven for five minutes. No more, no less. Then you're gonna take them out and eat them. Syrup, powdered sugar, butter, whatever. Up to you.

              It's good.

@CactuarJoe They certainly do need to stock it. Can you get a few loaves and freeze it?
