    So here's how old I am... I see the word "azure" and I always think of this #DnD module... #oldRPG #TSR

    (If I recall, I tried running it as DM, and the players went so far off script I gave up).

    Long ago and in a very different world....

      @Lionesslady I either learned the word "azure" from that module or the Azure Sea in Greyhawk. It was so long ago I can't remember, but D&D definitely expanded my vocabulary.

        @Tim_Eagon @Lionesslady

        Same here, but that Module was fairly terrible iirc, as were most of them back in that day. Was there even a well written 2e adventure? I struggle to recall one… πŸ€”

          @Morgunin @Tim_Eagon I remember being so excited about running the modules, they all sounded so cool. But yeah, none of them ever survived player contact, and I wasn't experienced enough to course correct.

            @Lionesslady @Morgunin I didn't buy too many 2e adventure modules, but Dungeon Magazine had plenty of good adventures.

                @Tim_Eagon @Morgunin however -- I will also say that I looked into writing for them, saw that they claimed ALL rights in perpetuity at that time, and noped on out immediately.

                  That sucks. How terrible.
                  I do agree with Tim, though. Dungeon Magazine adventures seemed cool and more interesting than TSRs other stuff at the time. I only have like a dozen or so issues, but I liked what I read there a lot.

                    @Morgunin @Tim_Eagon yeah, I kinda regret letting all my old magazines go. But too many moves and not enough space...

                      @Lionesslady @Morgunin I managed to complete my collection of print Dungeon Magazines during the pandemic (I probably owned about 70% of them beforehand). Nobody tell my wife what I spent on issues 1-5!

                          @Morgunin @Lionesslady my favorite issue is probably 13, and it contains my favorite adventure entitled β€œOf Nests & Nations.”

                            Thank you for sharing that. I’ll take a look at the getting a hold of that issue now.
