Only just got vaccinated today. (There were... a couple of months where reminding my roommate about *anything* would throw them into a full-blown panic attack...)@pteryx My partner got vaccinated and she is untouched by it despite usually picking up everything.

This is worse than when I had Covid. After six days I'm still in bed, but at least my brain is back to reading and watching things for several hours per day.

I've religiously paid for jabs ever since we had the children, because children are pitiless unempathetic derelicts who'd feed on your carcass if you died and they were watching youtube shorts.

@Printdevil I tried to book a covid one and literally nowhere in West Somerset or Devon were offering them.

Apologies for being quiet and non-responsive at the moment, I managed to catch the new strain of flu that's doing the rounds. If you are offered a vaccine then take it as I haven't been thus sick since the first time I caught Covid.
@Taskerland I had flu last week and it completely knocked me on my arse. And that's with having had the jab. It's a nasty one for sure.

@Taskerland my wife came down with it as well, and our one year old. Rubbish week, tbh. Interestingly, the five year old didn't get it. We wonder whether it's the nasal spray flu vaccine they get at school, maybe that gave him more protection...

@Taskerland Got a free covid vaccination that I'm not technically eligible for on the weekend thanks to the lovely local chemist who doesn't want to see them go to waste.
