First big #Ubuntu fail since migrating the laptop. Firmware update suggested. Ran with no problem. Used computer. All fine. Turned computer off Friday. Turned in today. Get list of components starting. Powers off. Power now does nothing. Seems like the firmware may have bricked it. Hopefully I'm wrong and can roll it back. Pretty disappointed with that behavior.

Looking sad so far. The system is a 2018 #dell XPS15. #Ubuntu installed fine. I could install all the software I needed. Everything was fine. It prompted a firmware update. It ran fine. System rebooted. Used it. Worked fine. Tried to boot today. Normal miscellaneous screens showing driver loading. Then nothing. Blank screen. I think it messed up BIOS firmware. I followed the BIOS recovery instructions. Nothing. Black screen. I migrated to Ubuntu because I don't want a new computer.
