Have you ever read a book set at a magical boarding school in England and wondered why the adult staff aren't doing anything about the supernatural problems the site faces?

As a bonus, the Incandescent also features a bisexual main character, which isn't something I often come across in novels.

I very much enjoyed this book. Though that break in time about 75% of the way in was SO not obvious in the audiobook. Someone in my book club showed me the pages in the book and it made so much more sense! And yes. An actual bisexual character and no one gave her shit for it? Both awesome and definitely fantasy. At least for my age group. Now get off my lawn!

Check out Wyverly College from Garth Nix's Old Kingdom series starting with Sabriel. Not powerful enough to face off the big bad but capable of supporting the MC.
Wikipedia says like Australia but it always seemed English to me. -
