Federation means once you publish, copies can exist on any connected server. And once a copy exists outside your own server, anything can happen to it.
The only way to fully prevent this? Don’t post to the Fediverse at all. -

@Krazov My point is, you may have an intention but servers may not honour what you intend. Once you publish, your posts are beyond your control.
