Would you believe the Everspace 2 cutscenes are (more or less) working now?

Would you believe the Everspace 2 cutscenes are (more or less) working now? I loaded my save which includes access to two previous scenes in the "story so far" menu. The first one plays, though it... develops desync for some reason. but this is compared to just outright stopping previously. The second one has no desync or any other issues.
Wild. I shall assume a patch did fix the issue somehow, though the notes did not, well, note anything related.
