@Ashedryden I live in New York and decided to go without my phone. I was a few feet from my front door when I realized I couldn't get the bike share bike without the app. I signed up to get the keycard. After it arrived, I found it doesn't work on any bike stations.
I thought about how to navigate the world without a phone number. The only people who do that are either very wealthy, or homeless.
I've spent several days reading vibe coding articles and subreddits and I cannot stress enough how true this Onion headline from two years ago is:

Awesome.” At press time, Parker added that as someone whose contributions to society would almost certainly be measured cumulatively as a net loss, he also saw great potential in the future of the metaverse.
