It's curious that predictive algorithms are used for criminalization but not for the prevention of crime at the source.It's curious that predictive algorithms are used for criminalization but not for the prevention of crime at the source.
Imagine being able to identify people who are likely to need food or rent assistance, but are unlikely to reach out for it. Or, understanding the environmental triggers that cause mental health crises, being able to get people the help they need beforehand.
But somehow there is never enough money for helping people, but always enough to lock them up. #PredictivePolicing #AI
