Historical narratives are a lot more accurate if you replace the word “honor” with “self-esteem” or simply “feelings” whenever a male figure uses it about anything other than a woman.When it’s about women, it usually means “a man’s feelings about that woman having sex.”

@Catvalente Ive been loving seeing complaints about "celebration" when all Ive seen is variations on "So, going around killing those we disagree with is probably bad, but excuse me if that thought is all the sad I feel about someone who can be quoted saying the world would be better if we murdered my friends...."

@Catvalente Maybe he didn't know that; maybe he was probing to test whether it was true. He does that kind of thing a lot: blurts something out just to see what kind of reaction it gets.
