@fkamiah17 The cheek of Tim Walz, claiming he was ready to be Vice-president of the whole United States of America when he won't even send police or state officials to defend citizens from attack on the streets of the state he's actually in charge of.

@fkamiah17 They are. The relentless nuances of relentless horror are awful to absorb. I am struck each time by the fact that when one masked ICE-thug shoots someone point blank, none of the other secret masked ICE-thugs instinctively tries to help the victim. They don't even check if the victim is still alive. They just stand back. They don't make instinctive moves to restrain the gunman or assist the victim. The lack of basic involuntary instinctive compassion is terrifying to see.

  • I hope everyone has a nice day, but especially @dillyd because she started the hashtag #MagicInTheMundane

@mothninja @dillyd Haha - that's exactly what I said when I first encountered #TinyBalancingSheep. And I smashed the follow button just as fast when I saw #MagicInTheMundane appear on my timeline.

@Flatus @dillyd 'Fresh coffee and optimism' - that's a lovely way to put it. It is a relief to be able to escape reality in small doses, absolutely agreed.

Between that and #SilentSunday and #TinyBalancingSheep, we may yet get through another day of world events without losing our minds.

  • We need the opposite of a siesta for Northern latitudes in Winter.

We need the opposite of a siesta for Northern latitudes in Winter. A go-esta. A few hours off in the middle of the workday when you go outside and do stuff in daylight. Because we go to work in the dark & come home in the dark 5 days a week. Saturday, we run around doing stuff that needs to be done in daylight. Sunday, you want to recharge. To read. To scroll. To nap. To relax indoors. But there's a few hours of sunshine so you feel obliged to go outside, dammit, before the next 5 dark days hit.
