today's Bob Vylan controversy reminded me that the BBC has form in the "what did they honestly think was going to happen" dumb stakes when they invited Rage Against The Machine to perform "Killing in the Name" live in the radio in 2009
the BBC said "hey could you not swear during the climax of the song, you know, the bit where you say FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME over and over, could you... not do the swears?" with predictable results
