A recently completed city map commission where I was given complete creative freedom within the requirements of the various districts layout and the dragon theme (which I made the most of!). -
looking at the upcoming #ShadesOfBlood adventure path, that's a mega-dungeon about vampires who are trying to blot out the sun, makes me weirdly excited.@risa Tempting, but I want less dungeons in a path, not more.

Over on the blooski, someone actually asked me to name my favorite FRP city guides.@SJohnRoss The S&S ed. sounds tempting but not at those collector prices... I'll have to stick to my old CSWE and beater CSIO that's what, 45 years old now or thereabouts?
Not that I think I could work it into my current campaign anyway.

Over on the blooski, someone actually asked me to name my favorite FRP city guides.@SJohnRoss Interesting... The original JG edition was pretty chaotically put together, but - if your brain was wired like mine - it just seemed to pair perfectly with the chaos of the city itself.

Over on the blooski, someone actually asked me to name my favorite FRP city guides.@SJohnRoss I'm only familiar with the JG versions. I vaguely recall when the 3rd edition was released much later, but I still had the old JG version and loved it so I didn't bother with the newer one... Might be interesting to compare them.

Over on the blooski, someone actually asked me to name my favorite FRP city guides.@SJohnRoss The first thing I looked for was CSIO. What a fantastic guide that was! CSWE & Thieves' World were a distant second in that era, IMO.

Using an LLM to write technical documentation is a terrible idea.@NullNowhere There were notable exceptions, but in my tech career the writing by engineers was most often very bad indeed... It didn't help that many were tasked to do it on the side and it wasn't considered a priority, to say the least.
