@atomicpoet All the more important to have such essential communication tools in the hands of the people, not in the hands of abusive corporatios in the hand of billionaires. It may also be important to make a distinction between AI for private use,and cultural production and commerce ie help write an email/write a book to sell.

You can fine-tune tone because theres a shared baseline the model draws from. That data is generated by the users of the internet but appropriated by private interests.
We have to pay to access the value we created collectively, and to decide how it can be used. Unfair. -
