FWIW (I live in Seattle, pretty damn liberal/foresty US) I don't blame you guys. The half of our country that isn't on fire is the half where we grow corn.

Canada has more forest and fewer people than the US and I think you've a generally more nature-minded average citizen as well. Less litter and that sort of thing.

This is climate crap. Places that used to be wet and cold are now warm and dry. It's a problem, but not one that Canada caused. It's just in your yard.

I'm used to the US burning every summer, particularly when we have folks in gov who don't believe in science or common sense. Americans signed up to breathe ash last election.

I feel like Canadians deserve a bit better though. They didn't sign up for doom.

Gotta say, all those burning Canadian forests definitely make for some pretty #sunsets.

I hate this timeline.
