I am seriously considering setting up an IRC channel to slowly replace Discord as a way to communicate with ttrpg people.Is this just recreating the old Internet? Or is this a sensible return to older tools?

It only costs a couple of quid a month, and it's totally safe from the vagaries of fate! Mostly. Anything that takes out IRC will also take the rest of the Internet out i reckon. And then we have bigger problems. Could be good for my megadungeon that I'll eventually get time to start
