On the one hand I bought into the lie that all (cis, het, Christian, Franco/Anglo, property owning...) men are created equal could be moved to all people are created equal, and that the system is salvageable. On the other, I don't know that it is any longer. We worked hard to fuck that up.But I do believe that the purpose of a government is to protect its citizens, even though we are not living it.
