Oh good they've started revealing cards from the next MtG expansion.@CactuarJoe oh kill me now

-
It's October, month of the art challenges!@CactuarJoe uhhhhh does having two of these in play mean they're both protected from everything except "destroy all" effects? O.o
-
Watching the MtG community have argument after argument about the series' constant Vertically Integrated Media Property crossover releases is interesting.@CactuarJoe I find this particularly frustrating in the context of speculative fiction media, because the whole point of speculative fiction is to imagine the world as other than it is. If you just get the same speculative fiction stories over and over again, it's no longer doing its job—no longer telling new stories about how the world *could be*.

It's October, month of the art challenges!@CactuarJoe Another one of the quintessential cards.

Yeah, I'm afraid I find the Omega fight to be just as annoying as the Behemoth fight, and for pretty much exactly the same reasons@CactuarJoe Same thing happened in Fallout 76 when they finally introduced raids that required real team work.
That's nice _in theory,_ but most people just play with whatever off-mic randos join their team, so everyone wound up trying to make build-soloing raids so they personally could carry the team if everyone else had no idea what they were doing.
-
The world: *gibbering madness*@CactuarJoe Counterspell is up there with Lightning Bolt on the list of cards that made MTG what it is and should be part of an always-available basic set. Everything else should be balanced around these cards.
(Also, since I'm here, FUCK foils and ~mythic rares~.)
-
Sigh.@CactuarJoe Not what you meant, I think, but points for making a beeline straight to Sailor Moon doing the I'm Late For School.

Okay so you know that thing about how celebrities always die in threes?@CactuarJoe I mean, I'm torn but Musk and Zuckerberg would be high on the list. Altman too, but I think they're still better-known and have had more of a societal impact.
