Non-techy friend: Modern technology has become such trash. I miss the days when the internet used to be fun.
Me: Oh boy do I have a book recommendation for you! (@pluralistic's "Enshittification")
Friend: I'll check it out. Is that where the term comes from?

In other words, the term "enshittification" is entering the mainstream. And hopefully one more person has joined the cause.
