  • @juergen_hubert I just ran into an old post of yours on rpg.net re: planet generation from a couple years ago.

@juergen_hubert This is the thread I ran across: https://forum.rpg.net/index.php?threads/so-whats-the-state-of-the-art-in-planet-generation-software.900569/

I'm looking at the underlying techniques being used for procedural generation with an eye to classroom curriculum, thus constrained by cheap, reasonable approximation for curriculum concepts, engaging, etc.

I did, however, just download https://calandiel.itch.io/gleba which is another implementation of Song of the Eons method to see how they did it.

I'm assuming your focus is now more on mapping the world, not generation?

@juergen_hubert I just ran into an old post of yours on rpg.net re: planet generation from a couple years ago. Since that's obviously an indication of an overlap between your interests and my searching, what are you using these days? (I'm working on an educational project, but it includes certain questions about map or planet generation techniques. I just re-read the old 2015(?) Experilous post this morning.)

  • Out of curiosity, a question to other website administrators:'nUnder what URL does the LLM crawler for Elon Musk's #Grok show up in the website logs?
Michael J. CoffeyM Michael J. Coffey

@juergen_hubert I don't know about Grok specifically, but I do know from my attempts to set up a no-AI website the crawlers are pretty notorious for getting around anything you may filter for--so probably there isn't any single thing that would identify it.
