More or less "Rare" means you have to beg your GM; They usually say yes.
A lot of the furry ancestries in Pathfinder 2e are "Uncommon" or "Rare" - especially awakened animals which are the "make your fursona" ancestry for any species and body type, so long as you can mechanically justify being able to hold two objects - https://2e.aonprd.com/Ancestries.aspx?ID=72

I'm creating a #pathfinder campaign featuring a community of Awakened Animals and I don't think my players are ready for how much philosophy and ethics they're about to engage in!
Using a ritual to grant a wild animal higher reasoning: cruel or a moral obligation?
You grant intelligence to the target, transforming it into a beast. If it was previously an animal companion or minion, it can no longer serve as one.

@doraii measured at the withers! 31 inches is average for a timber wolf.
Feral, upright animal... both can move on all fours so what's the difference? 
It helps that it was from the wolfiest therian I ever met 
I've recently been told I have wolf-like body language and it's validation I didn't know I needed. 
If people ordered fast food in the same manner they ask for items in retail electronics:

*Stands at their table 30ft away and points at the sky like you're a taxi*

"Burger." *Stares*
"Do you have the one that uhhhh" *arcane hand gestures*
"What's your newest burger?" *Multiple items released at the exact same time*
*Walks behind you and fishes for eye contact in silence* "BURGER?"
"My son wants the pickles uh hang on let me call them"
"Is it edible?"
"Can I eat it in the store?"
"What's the price?" *Tell them* "well the app says it was 2.49"

Blind as a bat, still kind of heart, but still unafraid to "correct" less-than-kind persons. As a Solarian, his command over gravity and burning sunlight gives him a nasty bite to back up his bark.

On August 16th, 2025 - my longtime companion Sampson was rushed to the vet after he lost his appetite and began to excrete blood; He was taken to urgent and then emergency care where he was kept overnight for pancreatitis and a blockage in his gut obtained after trying to eat grass to ease his stomach.
He needed a risky operation to remove the blockage or he was done for.
I of course wanted to take the chance and put myself into ten-thousand dollars of debt.
I slept on the floor with him for several hours until it was time for the operation, where the tough-bastard shook off fentanyl before going under the knife.
The surgery was a success, and he was reported to be more 'perky' and 'curious' about the vets- who instructed me to come up to help him eat as he seemed too nervous to eat a full meal.
Right before I arrived, they called me again alerting me that his condition began to deteriorate rapidly: when I arrived- he was drowning in his own fluids and had only minutes to live, leaving me no choice but to give the okay to ease his passing.
I made sure I was there for him each time they had to poke or prod at him. He was incredibly smart and was keen to rest on your stomach when he sensed you were upset, and is the only reason I didn't take my life nearly a decade ago.
Any help is appreciated, even if it's just sharing.
