    @dArtagnan OK, so it was just magically grossed out, it wasn't actually grossed out.

    I don't know how ghoul immunities work in P2e.

    I do know in D&D 3.5e and Pathfinder1e, a werewolf is a humanoid with the shapechanger subtype. This creates the awkward situation that werewolves are humanoids without any immunities to mind-affecting. In other words, werewolves are not immune to charm person. I had to figure out what a werewolf would do when it was charmed.

    @dArtagnan So what did your GM do? I want to hear about the interaction!

    What grosses out a ghoul?

    @dArtagnan In my Pathfinder1e game, the party once encountered an apocalypse horde zombie, which is a apocalypse zombie that I buffed and granted a teamwork feat. (In P1e, an apocalypse zombie is a fast brain-eating plague zombie.)

    It exploded on the halfling rogue when it died and he was dealing with lingering zombie rot disease for a very long time. (He got better, but it took a very long time.)

    I would expect biting a plague zombie to be a very bad idea.

    @dArtagnan

    Please, tell me more.

    I'm currently GMing Pathfinder1e and I have plans for an upcoming social interaction with a ghoul that hasn't quite surrendered to the hunger yet.

    I'd love to hear what your GM has been doing with ghouls.

    Are you playing Pathfinder2e or Pathfinder2eRemastered? I ask because ghouls were changed a bit in the remaster.

  • I told the priest today after mass that I didn't like the closing hymn at mass because it sounded selfish.

    @Tim_Eagon

    It's a version of "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" but maybe we only sang an excerpt or something, because when I look it up online, it doesn't seem that bad.

    Verses 1, 2, 6, and 8 are fine, no objections. Normal praise stuff.

    I don't like verses 3, 4, 5, and 7 of the version that appears here:

    I don't remember singing all those verses, but maybe I just remembered the ones that annoyed me when I was singing it.

    I told the priest today after mass that I didn't like the closing hymn at mass because it sounded selfish. He didn't love this hot take, pointing out the hymn is based on scripture. He suggested I talk to the music minister for more explanation.

    I told him I was fine with the repeated line, that "the Redeemer lives;" I obviously had no objection to that, but some other lines were just "me, me, me." He disagreed.

    Oh well.
