The average ICE personell does not have to be political operators. It can be assumed that in Nazi Germany, many people doing terrible things didn't hate Jews, still they helped killing them. See also: Hanna Arendt's title “the banality of evil”.
German here. Sorry to inform you, but our history shows that it is not relevant whether or not you are citizen of your own country when fascism gets to do its stuff.
There is no right side to be on in such a system. The border line between being right or wrong person may shift any time. You can be next.
This is not about immigrants or native Americans. It is about whether or not you are a person fitting into a scheme of a fascist system – nor not.
I guess this is why some YouTubers have replaced the term ICE with "Gestapo".
