continued some work on my PotA PF2e conversion today.
i finally adapted some important NPCs into this asian inspired setting!
for example: the human who got transformed into a medusa in the original now became a jorogumo instead!
and certain underground dwarven fortresses are now the holdover from a darklands invasion, which canonically happened in 2105 IC!
that lined up perfectly for me 
all in all, it's going well so far ^^

i figured out the setting for my Princes of the Apocalypse PF2e conversion!
i'll port this vaguely european thing into Xa Hoi (fantasy Vietnam).
i wanted the outside world to matter, even tho we'll likely never leave the original map area. just feels nicer that way ^^
for new NPC names, i'll be using https://www.dungeonetics.com/pfnames/
NPC art will be a whole other search, but between official Paizo art and using Picrew, i should be fine ^^
my plan with the PotA rework is to get through 1 page per day! at 187 pages, this will take me half a year ^^
am on page 19 rn!
today i read about the history of the dessarin valley. it made me wonder if i should port this whole adventure into golarion or maybe a world of my own creation?
porting this european fantasy setting into smth like the mwangi expanse (fantasy central africa) or tian xia (fantasy asia) could be fun, if you ask me ^^
but also a lot of work, so idk... xD
@ridge as someone who has played xi and xiv (2.0-7.4) extensively, but only spent one afternoon in 1.0, i would be interested to see how it played later on ^^

just finished running session 30 in my #SeasonOfGhosts campaign and it was amazing!
we finished book 2! we're halfway through and i'm super excited! (actually a bit more than halfway, cuz we did some book 3 stuff already xD)
once again, my players surprised me with all kinds of stuff, including using the Call Spirit ritual to talk to an important villain they killed weeks ago, to get more secrets from!

i started using Campfire for my session prep and campaign notes and i'm having a good time with that!
funny enough, i don't really need most of campfire's features tho and get by fine with the free version by just using the manuscripts
in a way it's just an easier way for me to sort text documents. which is apparently all i want xD
learned something about myself in that process ^^
@ridge personally, i use posteo, which is a green german service and costs 1€/month, but am thinking about switching to proton which has vpn and cloud storage

@croyle oh wow, extra good luck then. rewriting the whole thing to be non-asian would require a lot of work and be kinda difficult.
in that case i might actually recommend a whole other AP, like Strength of Thousands, which is also much not a dungeon crawl and has plenty of RP potential ^^
@croyle good luck! luckily, this is a fantasy setting, inspired by various east asian cultures, and is not an accurate historical chinese setting. there should hopefully not be any correcting, because it's not the exact thing.
@croyle it's not directly a chinese setting, but more an east asian one. (so korea, japan and china)
but tbh most monsters are from japanese mythology. meanwhile most npcs in town have names inspired by korean or chinese.
dunno if that changes much tho ^^
@croyle i'm running this AP right now and can confirm it's not a dungeon crawl. it takes place over a whole year and has around 1 dungeon per season. and all "dungeons" are mostly inhabited by sapient creatures who you can talk to and negotiate with.
if anything, it's a downtime crawl! (if that is even a thing xD) you play through large parts of the year on a week by week basis.
if you want an AP that's RP-heavy: this is a good one!
