Actually, The Creature costume looks *way* better than Star Trek's original Gorn costume (a vaguely similar creature, just minus the webbing and gills) which was over 10 years later (1967). I had forgotten how bad TV budgets used to be even compared to the low movie budgets of the time.

I know we're supposed to make fun of this for being a terrible movie, but I have nothing intelligent to say other than practical effects are just better. As silly as all this is, the costume actually looks pretty good even though it was 1954.
