It's not like this pattern of hurt bigots and abusers leaving progressive and marginalized spaces and heading for the right is a new pattern. This seems to be a thing that bigots and abusers do.

Well, people started to call out the bigots on their terrible views and they whined about how unfair and irrational that was.
And then they gradually drifted toward the far right. It took the better part of the decade, but that's where they wound up.
I'm sorry, but I"m not going to be nicer to bigots.
Someone is going to call them out on their shit at some point, and if they were so fucking self-centered and fragile that this means they'll pull on jackboots and singing praise for fascists, I don't think there was much that could be done for them in the first place.
4) They seek the tiny subgroups of other trans people on the far right for a big happy pity party because people challenged their hate, and they congratulate each other on being extra special masters of the universe. Then they decide to help the right exterminate other trans people and other marginalized groups.
Conclusion: We need to be nicer to bigots in the transgender community because the bruised egos of bigots serves as a gateway drug to fascism.

1) They hold some form of bigoted belief that is publicly/openly challenged by others.
2) Rather than engage in self-reflection and reconsider their bigotry, they double down and seek the company of other bigots among the right wing.
3) They receive approval from right wing bigots and are pulled deeper into fascism and hate because it makes their egos feel better.
