He's of course welcome to keep dreaming of the distant day when it might be viable, but it's just that, a dream. Of course I said none of this to insult.

I’m always fascinated by how irrationally angry the idea of anarchism makes some people.> It simply doesn't work. Its a less workable concept than Libertarian ideology.
I attempted to remind him of the same last night:

@benroyce@mastodon.social @violetmadder @0x4d6165 @HeavenlyPossum This has become an odd argument of theoretics (some of which apparently I can't now see) that isn't likely to enjoy any tangible evidence any time soon. That said, I find HeavenlyPossum's original statements regarding the legitimacy of violence to be credible. No statement was made suggesting a solution per se, only observations about the current and historical nature of its exercise... and that's about as far as we're likely to get, observing the problems without a solution. We're in an awkward period where we recognize the problems without being able to solve them, because potential solutions all require a type of creature that doesn't yet exist. Socialist economics, libertarian economics, and anarchist governance are all literally impossible for the current iteration of humanity to implement because we're saddled with limbic-brain baggage that we must fully cast off before any of those becomes viable. We're waiting for our (social) evolution to catch up and make solutions possible.
