If you're wanting to avoid AI force-feeding, watch out for #Chrome. Not only does it have AI built it, but it will put Gemini in the MacOS menu bar to keep running all the time. I only found it after I was cleaning out the menu bar for another project I was working on and found the Gemini icon back behind a bunch of other apps. I've since moved away from Chrome. https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/16283624?hl=en-en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop
