did you know these ideological disagreements fall into two camps, one of which compares self-hosting to "keeping a slave" and the other compares cloud-hosted AI girlfriends to sex workers

every so often you just find a baffling corner of the internet. im installing ai models as a follow up to hearing about some of the problems with them on a general news podcast, because I need to test this out to verify that shit that sounds entirely ridiculous to my ears is things they actually do, and did you know that there's an ideological fracture in the AI girlfriend community over whether you should locally host your AI girlfriend or host them on the cloud
