First time in years, I picked up the family’s Nintendo Switch. Not fun. The screen is tiny and has a lot of glare. Lack of ergonomic grips make for discomfort. The joysticks are wonky and inaccurate. Now, to be fair, when it came out, it was revolutionary. This was the first true hybrid console. The dock and Joy-Cons really were great. But I’ve been spoiled by the Steam Deck and Legion Go. Both have better screens, are more comfortable, and have better, more accurate controls. Plus, the bigger and better PC library is simply more compelling—even though I own 72 games on Switch.
