The Pixelfed woes continue.
I first tried Metapixl.com, years ago, but no one ever approved my account. So I just abandoned it.
I went to Pixlmo.com, and I've been there for a few years, but it's clear that the admin doesn't really pay much attention to it. There are broken features, and the admin doesn't respond to contact attempts.
I tried Metapixl again, with the same problem. Account never gets approved.

Last week, I set up an account at Gram.social. My first post was flagged and unlisted. It said an admin would review it and get back to me. No one ever did. So I sent a message via the contact form. Still nothing.
This morning, I opened an account at Pixelfed.de, and again my first post was flagged and unlisted. I get that might be standard practice for new users on some server, so I'm trying to be patient and sit tight for a few days to see if they get back to me.
This is frustrating.

I haven’t been active on it in a while – it’s been a rough year, and my photo excursions have mostly been put on hold – but I’ve not had any issues with Pixey.org. It’s run by the guy behind mstdn.social, IIRC.
Pixelfed.ca is run by the same group that operates lemmy.ca and piefed.ca, and I can speak to those other services being well run and maintained. I haven’t used their Pixelfed site, but I see no reason why it would be any different.
