San Diego Asian culture is very different from in Vancouver.
There is no separate Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Vietnamese neighbourhoods in San Diego.
Just one pan-Asian neighbourhood where all the Asian nationalities congregate. And it’s not a walkable part of town. More like a collection of strip malls. -

What, you found Little Saigon?
There is or was a specieic Mhong community…and the Laotians are closer to Oak Park than anywhere else. More Chinese around Claremont and Kearny Mesas. And two separate populations of Phillapinos .South of Mission Valley the Naborhoods tend to be kinda United Nationsy
We did have a specific China Town maybe a century ago down in Horton’s Folly Urban Preserve

@MishaVanMollusq Okay, Little Saigon is interesting but I’m going to have to research it more because every time I try to go to a notable attraction in San Diego, it turns out to be a strip mall.
